Reiki sessions

Reiki at a glance

Reiki offers a gentle space to slow down, relax, and reconnect with yourself. It is offered through light touch or with the hands held just above the body. People come to Reiki for many reasons—or simply because they need a pause. You don’t need any previous experience or a particular belief in energy work. Come as you are. Learn more about Reiki.

What happens during a Reiki session?

Your session with Elke begins with a short conversation about how you’re feeling, what brings you to Reiki, and anything you’d like to share. Then you relax, fully clothed, on the treatment table while you receive Reiki through gentle hand positions. You don’t need to do or say anything, unless you want to, of course.

A blanket is available, and you can choose gentle music, soothing sounds, or silence. Essential oils can also be diffused if you like.

You may feel warmth, coolness, tingling, or deep relaxation—or nothing in particular. You may become quiet or fall asleep. Every person and every session is different. About halfway through, Elke may ask you to turn over if that’s comfortable for you. Afterward, there’s a little time to reconnect. Your main job? Relax.

How long is a session?

Choose a 60- or 90-minute Reiki session, plus a little time to talk before and after. New to Reiki? Start with 60. If you enjoy sinking into a deeper rest, 90 minutes can fly by. Sound Healing or Marma Therapy may be added.

One session—or a series?

A single Reiki session can offer a welcome pause and an opportunity to relax deeply. If something specific brings you to Reiki, you may choose to come more often. Others make Reiki part of their routine—weekly, every other week, monthly, or simply from time to time. Find the rhythm that works for you. To make Reiki your own practice, explore a Reiki workshop.

What should I wear?

Wear whatever you’re comfortable relaxing in. You remain fully clothed throughout the session.
